    Adcenter Desktop Beta Error

I got this error after my admin installed the latest version of the desktop application.  Has anyone seen this error?

Error: The type initializer for 'Microsoft.Advertising.Advertiser.AdvertiserContext' threw an exception.

    Thanks!

    Hi Val,

You might want to verify that it was installed on a Windows 32 bit system. Also, verify that Internet Explorer was used to download/install the program.

    Thank you,

    Brian - MSFT

    Adcenter Desktop Beta Error

    Brian,

Thanks for the reply. It is installed on a 32-bit system. It was installed using Firefox (that's our default browser). We followed the instructions on the AdCenter Beta page, installed the ffclickonce-0.8-fx-win.xpi plugin before installing AdCenter. The installation went smoothly but I encounter this error when I try to load an account. Is there a problem with using Firefox even if you followe the instructions?

    Hi Val,

It sounds like that you have installed it correctly as you can sign in and attempt to download your account.

The issue you may be running in to is that the account you are attempting to download may be more than what the Ace Desktop is currently capable of downloading. I do know that this limitation should be resolved with V2 of the Desktop tool that is currently undergoing internal testing.

I am currently testing this limitation from my side and will update with conformation that it is working correctly.

    Thank you,

    Brian H - MSFT

    Adcenter Desktop Beta Error

     Brian,

I actually get the error when I attempt to open the application.  It gives and option to continue but when you do, the same error message is displayed.

    Thanks,

    Valarie
