Conversions - Not getting any :(

I've been running some parallel campaigns and to say the least i'm dissapointed in Adcenters performance.   With the same keywords, negative words and content match enabled across from YSM, Adwords and Adcenter i'm getting about a 4.5% conversion on Google a 5% conversion and YSM and 0 - big NADA in Adwords.

I emailed support asking for details about the clicks and if there was a report i could run to show what generated what click and they replied asking back for my server logs. We run google analytics and the rest is hosted/managed services so i don't have a single httpd log to send in so i'm at a loss as to how to move forward.

Even the bounce rate is terrible :(

I'm giving another go and bidding for higher position and shrinking campaigns back down and seeing if i can a SINGLE conversion.

Tried broad genre matching - lots of traffic - no real "Shoppers"  Genre as in "intel cpus" and focusing on several on sale models such as "Q6600 on sale 239.99" - generated lots of clicks on adcenter but not a single conversion.  ON YSM and Google that add generated over 25 conversions a piece in as little as 50.00 spend because it as was a great deal

Any pointers? can an adcenter rep see much without me customizing my site to incorporate adcenter conversion tracking? i typically fill in the conversion parameters to pass to analytics and track that way and even being nice and accounting for all *.live.com traffic we haven't gotten a natural or paid conversion YET.

How are you measuring conversion and bounce rate?  Are you using Google Analytics to measure Microsoft advertising? Remember the companies are rivalsso I would be very careful in testing to make sure that everything is working correctly and measuring accurately before you draw any conclusions.

P.S. If that doesn't work then where are you running your ads?  Sponsored search will typically get a higher clickthrough rate and better conversions than display advertising.  Are they text ads or banner ads?

I use google analytics and in my adcenter campaigns i send along the variables as part of the URI so i see which campaign, keyword and market i am advertising in.  (using the analytics url tool)

So basically when i create a url for clicking in adcenter it pushes the keyword, campaign and other variables to my site which are picked up by analytics. Pretty straightforward.

Our commerce system also tracks all refers and associates and internal dollar amount to those since we have adverting campaign management built into our system as well.

We advertise expressly in the Adcenter area using text ads/search marketing ads. We have enabled content ads however the impressions are normally 0 across the board for those.

I have to say I haven't gotten a lot of action from my MSN ads either. It seems to be a fledgling in 3rd place even after several years in the race.

I did just get my fist conversion from Adcenter.  Going to mimic that campaign for other products and see how it works. Perhaps there are just brands/products that don't do well at all on adcenter.  still, that one product sold has a severely negative ROI from adcenter at this moment hehe
