It's in Beta.  It's a lot easier to manage something when you have a limited number of users testing it.  Once it's ready it'll be available to the public I'm betting.

Why is Microsoft Publisher Closed to the public?

    Hi

I totally agree that Microsoft have to get with the publisher program to the public, I think it will be good for both Microsoft and Publisher who will use these services
May be it will need some extra effort from Microsoft, but it will get a good revenue for the company and a good control over some areas that Google have total control over

For example as Google knows it have no real competitors in that field they give no support or help to publishers and easily they kick off at any time without any explanations or warnings! And this happened to me as I was Google Ad sense publisher for about one year and after I made a good success they disabled my account with $2500 earnings (5 months) with no explanation or TOS violation.

Sadly I can not find any alternative to go with that have international support as my web sites has a major MEA traffic
I hope to see AdCenter programs competes Adsense one day

BTW, I have just registred so I got a confirmation Email which was sent from address (notset@localhost.com) this made hotmail mark the message "This message has been blocked for your safety."

Thank you Marco. I'll investigate how to change the localhost address, greatly appreciate the heads up on that.

The Publisher program is available in pilot now and I encourage users to test it. http://advertising.microsoft.com/publisher

The pilot is gated - meaning you have to be approved with an editorial review of your site before you can test the product. It is currently limited to US-based publishers only. We have heard requests from potential international users to expand the pilot. If there is a decision to expand, we will announce it here.

Thank you for using the forum.

There is a reason why Google is ruling the Internet and web advertising market. You guys don't get it at all. You were trying to buy Yahoo for billions to compete with Google. But, you can't just open up adcenter for all publishers to generate more revenue?

I am sure it's just a waste of time for me to write this. You guys are super brilliant people, you have your own ways of doing things.

    Thanks Ram,

I think we get it, but your point is well taken. We have work to do to persuade everyone, hopefully including you. It's never a waste of time to participate in the adCenter Community. The discussions here will have an impact - maybe not always immediate and huge, but it will make a difference.

    We appreciate your participation.

As a developer in the Publisher team, I can tell you that the product has been implemented from day one to support international audiences and localization.  As to which regions we roll out to, that's entirely a decision on the business side.  I can only tell you that it won't be a technical limitation.

(keep in mind that localizing for a given region/language is expensive, but not as expensive as contractual, taxation and local law negotiation)

The secrecy actually delivers high conversion rate. Mine is 60% ~ 92%.
