    Recent ad Center Improvements

Has anybody noticed how much Ad Center has sped up recently?  It used to be virtually unusable but now it's okay, and pages actually completely load consistently whereas it used to freeze up.  We also put about 60 campaigns in one account which is good compared with AdWords.

However it would be good to be able to pause individual ads and not just complete ad groups.

The actual gui is faster but i can't stand the time delay between active/inactive.

Say you run a campaign and one of your keywords is just getting clicked like no tomorrow with no conversion. If you click delete and save you may be charged a few hundred my clicks before it ultimately propagates through the system.  Yahoo and Adwords are both almost instantaneous.

I still think very basic items and features are missing that would make me even consider using it more. For instance the extremely limited time periods you can select from the drop down menu to view data?  Its horrendous!

Tell us what you'd like to see jonleeclark.

Every bit of feedback gets funnelled to the development team and they thrive and act on it, so give us some examples and we'll make sure they hear it.

The most imprtant thing that needs to be fixed is performance of ads going in and out. If i catch a keyword doing terrible and costing me money it shouldn't take a few hours to get it deleted while it still runs up a tab.

Most importantly, i can't seem to find a report that lets me see what keywords & queries initiated which click and or ad.  I can do that everywhere else and optimize my campaign for better performing ads but i can't for the life of me see how to do that in adcenter.  We push the keyword/campaign data to google analytics but sometimes 24 hours late is too late to make a difference.

the worst thing is that i can never see the ad copy when i'm viewing my keywords and vise versa. It would seem to be a simple thing, yet, no matter how many web surveys or phone surveys or adcenter reps I've talked to at SES, etc it never seems to happen. I NEED to be able to see the two together.

Secondly, the performance metrics have NEVER been even close to the actual results. It makes the 'anticipated' data less than reliable and as a result I rarely rely on adcenter for promotional or short term campaigns. Actually, I should say I never rely on adcenter for those types of campaigns.

Probably the most time consuming is having to go through each ad group and turn on/off the content network! Make it a campaign option!!!!!!!!!!! One click and done. That way I don't have to go through each ad group and wonder if I remembered to save each one!

Those are a few of my pet peeves about adcenter. The 'save' feature needs a post of its own!

    Hi jonleeclark

Good feedback about seeing ads and kws on the same page, we'll pass it on.

When you say "Performance Metrics" you mean the forecast impressions, clicks and spend when setting up a campaign?

As for Content Ads you can turn it off at the Campaign level:

    - Click the Campaigns tab.
    - Select the check box next to each campaign that you want to turn off content distribution for.
    - Click Bulk edit.
    - In the Campaign setting list, select Distribution to content network.
    - Click Apply.

Important: This change applies only to existing ad groups in campaigns you edit in bulk. New and imported ad groups will have content distribution turned on by default.

    Cheers Mel
