  • The adCenter Add-in Beta for Excel 2007: help build out your keyword lists Monday, November 03, 2008 by: Carolyn Miller - MSFT 1 Comments

Many of our adCenter blog posts refer to a free tool we offer called the adCenter Add-in Beta for Excel 2007. I wanted to call this tool out specifically, in case you are not familiar with it -- the Add-in can help you expand your keyword lists and plan your keyword strategy. Features available in the tool include:

    • Keyword Extraction: extract a list of popular keywords from a specified Web site.
    • Keyword Suggestion: generate a list of relevant keywords based on a list you provide.
    • Monthly Traffic: obtain monthly historical and future forecasted impression counts for keywords to gauge popularity and guide your keyword investment.
    • Keyword Monetization: learn about clicks, impressions, position, click through rate, cost per click, and match type for a given time period.
    • Search Buzz: Top Spiky Keywords (seasonality and spikes in popularity) and Top Frequent Keywords (trends for popular keywords).
    • Demographic: provides demographic information about the given keywords within a set time period. The percentage (shown as a decimal) of searches by gender and age group are shown in the output.
    • Geographic: learn location information and impression info by location to help with geographic targeting.

Be sure to check out the five step-by-step Add-in tutorials, and visit the Excel Add In page on the Microsoft Advertising site to download the Add-in and review the product guide, installation guide, FAQ and features list.

Did't know that I can do that with Excel and Ad Center. All this while I have been using specialised software. Will try yours. Thank you
